Do you think
that Zimbabwean Marketers will have ever end up using digital means? Yes l
believe so.Digitization is the process of
converting information into a digital format . In this format, information is
organized into discrete units of data (called bit s) that can be separately
addressed (usually in multiple-bit groups called byte s). The biggest companies
in Zimbabwe have welcomed the digitization in Zimbabwe. We have seen
already Econet Wireless changing the banking system by using plastic
money. One of their Subsidiaries Stewart Bank has already gone into
school opening bank accounts plastic money in a few year will be a way to
buy and selling products in Zimbabwe. There are many companies trying by all
means to make their work easy by using digital means in their offices. Some
schools have actually developed an App for students to use. We have companies
using Bulk SMS, Television, Radio, Bulk Emails to intensify marketing and
advertising.
As a Marketer l would like to see digital
billboards all over Zimbabwe in key areas in Major Cities. Companies can set up
these digital billboards. This can help the city council like in Harare to make
it cleaner and it creates a bit of revenue for the city. But this has to be
approached in a cautions way because we might see high rent prices to set up
the billboards and also the prices to advertise. In a country with huge
ambitions and many start-up company which might need one day to actually
advertise on thus billboards. The pricing has to be favorable for
everyone.
It’s time we educate The New Age Marketers
to see the future and work on it as the next two generations could progress
